The water heater was replaced in 2014.
I closed the valve above the water heater to replace a whole house filter and it siezed up when I tried to reopen it.
I had no water presssure on the hot side. Time to replace it all above the water heater.
This corroded part was the biggest pain in the butt. PB blaster and time fixed that.
After cutting the pipes I had to wait an hour for the water to stop trickeling out the pipes from the attic before I could solder them in.
Yep, with if siezed up at 90% closed I wasn't taking a shower this morning.
New vavle and better hoses and no leaks.
