All Polk Audio in wall surround speakers have been installed and all wires have been run. They sound so good.
 

the real wall color looks more like this. It is hard to get it close with a flash.

New Colors decided on. Painting in progress. 2/14/10 Picked Acorn is painted in main living room.
Buckthorn will be painted in the entryway and dining room.

New mahogany TV stand / audio/video cabinet is an improvement.
I need one more day to clean up some of the wiring.

I added a remote control repeater kit so I could send remote signals to all my devices with the doors closed.

Now it looks much better.

I added a couple silent 120mm fans running off the switched plug on the Harmon Kardon to the back doors to keep things cool.

The rear surrounds have been replaced. I am now working on the center surround speakers. They will be painted to match the walls
when the final color has been decided. Update: the centers have also been installed. I like the way it sounds and looks so much I will
replace the front and center speakers with Polk Audio in wall speakers as well.

Wouldn't you know it, just where I wanted to place the center in wall speaker, there was a water pipe running right down the center.

It's a good thing I know a little bit about plumbing.

I added insulation to the pipes and the wall cavity before replacing the drywall and installing the speaker.

This is the view of the front, center and surround in wall speakers installed. There are also two more rear surrounds out of view.  I still have a lot of taping, mudding, spraying and painting to do but at least there are no more wires laying around to be seen.

I am using a 7.2 wall plate.
It includes two RCA sub connectors. I have a second 1/2 plate for 2 coax (DirecTv) phone and CAT-5.

I am using this HDMI cable exclusively now. They are the highest quality and are less that $7 each (6') if you
buy more than one on EBAY. I have 3 - 3', 5 - 6' cables.
