When I first brought Yana home
he was a mere 14 pounds. I loved the coloring on him and he
had no problem making himself at home. This little dog is not
shy in the least.

If only they could stay like
this.

|
One month later and Yana is
four months old. He is still as cute as can be and has started
to go on hikes with me. He is not to happy riding in a car but
is dealing with it. He can sit, shake hands, left or right
depending on which one you hold out and can lay down.

You didn't think the couch was
for you, did you?
|
|
Yana is now 5 months old and 38
pounds. He is getting pretty good at riding in the car
and will lay down in the passenger seat after a few minutes.
He likes long hikes and never seems to tire out.

Yana loves to go on hikes and join
me in GEO Caching. Here he guards a cache while I stand back
and take a photo.
|
|
Another day another cache.
Yana appears to be guarding the cache but he is just munching on
a doggie biscuit he got for sniffing out the cache.
|
|
Another day of GEO caching as we
take a break in the shade. Yana is now six months old and 50
pounds. He now does well in the car and is very obedient. He can
sit, shake hands with either hand you use, lay down and has now
mastered the stay command until I give him the OK to move.
|
|
It's now March and Yana is about
8 months old. He is up to 63 pounds. It's been a little warm the
last few days and he likes the nice cool slate on the fireplace
to keep cool.

One year old and 82 pounds. This
basketball is the about only toy he has not been able to tear
apart in less than ten minutes.
